A plex skin for car stereo would be optimal for something like this. In the car stereo world, a lot of folks are starting to ditch having a traditional car stereo "deck" and install tablets custom mounted in the dash. Something with large buttons and just the basics. A skin for the plex app aimed for the driver would be great, just a suggestion. on the android plex app is not well suited for a driver, buttons are small, etc. c) depending on the version of bluetooth the car stereo deck supports, it may or may not be loss-less playback.

b ) overly restrictive mobile phone laws in some localities could potentially make using the phone for this illegal. 5 fixed that but now has stutter issues at 4 sec mark of audio playback (on LG G3), etc. My main concerns with the current solution of using the phone and bluetooth is a) depending on the version of android one is running, I have had various degrees of success streaming the bluetooth audio to the car stereo. My current solution is to use bluetooth to stream the audio from the Android phone to the car stereo. I am using Plex as the primary means to play music through my car stereo. I agree, an android based car audio deck with Plex integrated in it would be awesome.
